Let’s start with the basics: When does this tournament take place, and what are the buy-ins?

The South Dakota State Championship is held May 18 & 19.  Each player will play in one of three flights held on May 18.  Each flight will play down to 20 players and those 20 will carry their chips to the 60 player Final held on May 19.

How are the buy-ins structured?

The Championship buy-in is $1000+$100. This tournament will fill at 300 players. Registration will close May 18 at 8:00am, and there will be no re-entry. So if you want to take your shot at the possible $100,000 first place, make sure you get entered early.

What might a player expect to win?

The Championship tournament will pay $100,000 to the winner if participation is full.

Are you offering a poker rate during the event?

Yes, rooms will be 20% off for anyone who purchases a Championship seat and books rooms before May 1.

How might the South Dakota State Championship differ from other tournaments throughout South Dakota?

In a word, BIGGER!! This event has every possibility of being the largest poker tournament ever held in South Dakota.

Earn 1 Free Seat ($1,100 Value) into the South Dakota State Poker Championship every 4 weeks. Points can only be earned in the Thursday "Deep Stack" Tournament and will be awarded as follows:

1st= 10pts

2nd= 9pts

3rd= 8pts

4th= 7pts

5th= 6pts.

6th= 5pts

7th= 4pts

8th= 3pts

9th= 2pts

10th= 1pt

Seat will be awarded to the player with the highest cumulative points earned during the weekly "Deep Stack" poker tournaments, Thursday nights at 6:30pm. Every 4 weeks, the point leader will win a State Championship Seat, and the points total will re-start. All tournaments will still be 100% pay-back. State Championship seat is added to prize pool by the Silverado. No Cash Value.
